A key trigger for the implementation of luxData.easy was the need to replace the old Excel database. The previous method was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors. With the introduction of luxData.easy, these problems were effectively solved. The software offers an integrated database that enables a seamless connection with interactive maps. This not only significantly improves clarity, but also the efficiency of administration. "The main task is to enter the annual visual inspection of the light points online. A particular advantage of the app is that the light points can be moved directly on site. These functions have made day-to-day work much easier and increased the efficiency of the work processes enormously," explains Jürgen Schelb from naturenergie netze GmbH. A total of 18,000 light points in 33 municipalities are now managed. The system is regularly used by 8 to 10 employees with the aim of achieving cost savings and improved service quality through transparent management and maintenance of the street lighting systems.

The user-friendliness of luxData.easy is another plus point. The employees were able to quickly familiarize themselves with the software thanks to an intuitive "learning by doing" approach. This shows that no extensive training is required to use the software effectively. Although the exact time savings have not yet been quantified, it is clear that the efficiency gains are significant.

Another decisive factor for the use of luxData.easy is the integration of the fault reporting portal stoerung24. This tool enables municipalities and their citizens to report faults online and respond to them more quickly. Currently, most faults are still reported conventionally, for example by telephone or a general contact form. In future, however, there are plans to make more intensive use of the integration of stoerung24 as an iFrame on the naturenergie netze GmbH website. This will enable citizens to easily report street lighting faults online. This will guarantee faster processing times and complete archiving of reports. Users can report problems around the clock, which leads to a prompt response and minimizes downtimes. Transparent communication between users and service providers improves the information situation and effectively coordinates repair measures. Systematic documentation of all faults means that resources are used efficiently and processes are continuously optimized. As soon as all light points have been mapped, this function will be advertised in the respective municipal magazines, called "Blättle", planned for fall 2024.
