The expansion of 5G infrastructure places high demands on planning, documentation, and ongoing site management. A Munich-based mobile communications infrastructure company relies on luxData.easy for this purpose. It uses the software to centrally and systematically manage its rapidly growing portfolio of 5G transmission mast sites.
Strong growth requires a professional structure
5G-Synergiewerk GmbH currently manages around 200 potential locations for 5G transmission masts using luxData.easy. The portfolio is growing continuously: an average of around 150 additional locations are added each year, with a clear upward trend. Its projects currently span 30 cities, with plans to expand into other regions.
Before the introduction of luxData.easy, the sites were mainly managed using Excel lists. However, as the number of projects increased, this approach reached its limits. The company was looking for a structured database solution that would enable professional, reliable, and long-term scalable management of all location data. luxData.easy offered the best way to transfer the existing data into a professional, reliable, and centralized system. luxData.easy is perfectly suited to ensure sustainable future growth and reliable mapping. The introduction of the software was accompanied by structured training provided by sixData GmbH and went smoothly. Administrative tasks within the system are handled centrally at 5G-Synergiewerk GmbH, while a total of nine employees work with luxData.easy on a regular basis. “Thanks to the intuitive user interface, everyone involved was able to quickly familiarize themselves with the system, so that it was up and running productively within a short time", says Ms. Taji, 5G-Synergiewerk GmbH, proudly.
Greater transparency and higher data quality
In the day-to-day work of 5G Synergiewerk employees, luxData.easy covers several core areas related to 5G network expansion. Site search plays an important role here, especially for identifying suitable light poles as potential mobile phone sites. In addition, existing and planned transmission masts are fully documented and clearly managed as part of site management. Project management is also carried out directly in the system: all phases—from site acquisition and construction to ongoing operation—can be mapped and tracked in a structured manner. In addition, luxData.easy supports warehouse and spare parts management. Materials and components are systematically recorded and managed in the software. These tools support the central operational processes directly and noticeably simplify everyday work.
luxData.easy has significantly improved transparency in site management. All parties involved have access to a shared, uniform database. Coordination is easier and information remains consistent. Working exclusively in one system prevents duplicate entries and different data statuses. Data quality has increased noticeably, as all information is structured and maintained centrally in the database. This provides a reliable basis for all processes.
A system that makes a difference
A key advantage in daily use is the flexible switch between table and map view. Depending on the task at hand, you can work either data-oriented or spatially. In addition, the continuous process flow—from acquisition to construction and commissioning to operation and maintenance—ensures consistent work without process interruptions. This noticeably increases clarity, speed, and process reliability.
The luxData.easyApp also offers practical support when used directly at the transmission tower locations. Locations can be discussed with customers and suppliers on site, and information can be accessed or supplemented directly. The map-based display facilitates orientation in the field. The offline function is also particularly valuable, as it allows access to important location data even when there is no network coverage. The app is primarily used for field work on an as-needed basis and impresses with its high user-friendliness and practicality. As the company is still in the process of establishing many processes as a growing start-up, it is not yet possible to quantify the monthly time savings. With an increasing database and growing routine in using luxData.easy and the app, a significant reduction in workload is expected. Thanks to clear structures, reduced media breaks, and a uniform database, the company is already benefiting from optimized processes.
From a user perspective, the most important advantages of luxData.easy are evident in three key aspects:
- The consistent mapping of all work steps in a single system is particularly valuable—from sales and construction to the ongoing operation of the sites.
- In addition, web-based, location-independent access enables flexible use for all parties involved.
- Another decisive advantage is immediate productive use, as no in-house development effort is required.
“The greatest benefit comes from combining these factors: quick start-up, easy operation, and a consistent process flow in a central tool", adds Ms. Taji.
“Our requirements and wishes are listened to”
The collaboration with the sixData team is described as extremely positive: constructive, reliable, and solution-oriented. We particularly appreciate the fact that our requirements and wishes are taken on board and actively incorporated into further development. This cooperative partnership significantly supports the successful integration of the solution into our everyday work.
